Título: Between Europe and Ibero-America: The Political Discourse of the Spanish Government
Resumen: Since the death of General Franco and Spain’s democratic transition, economic relations between Spain and the Ibero-American community have greatly improved both in quality and quantity. Far from growing out of the vaunted “Hispano-American vocation,” what emerged was an entirely new philosophy, design, and foreign policy praxis in the Latin American region Indeed, its relations with Ibero-America are second only to Spain’s links with Western Europe. The causes lie in certain common elements found on both sides of the Atlantic-the product of history, language, culture, and in some areas, a genuinely shared identity.
